Shiprocket Checkout (1-click)

Let shoppers check out in one step with UPI, cards or COD through Shiprocket — no payment gateway of your own needed. How to connect it, finish the setup in Shiprocket, and what changes in your cart.

Shiprocket Checkout is a one-click checkout run by Shiprocket. The shopper presses one button, Shiprocket's window opens over your store, their saved address fills in, and they pay by UPI, card or Cash on Delivery in one step. Shiprocket collects the payment and pays it out to you, so you do not need a payment gateway account of your own. In your dashboard the card is called Sell with Shiprocket.

It is for stores that sell in rupees. It is part of the Growth plan (₹499/month) and is also included in AI Co-founder; on other plans the card says Shiprocket Checkout is part of the Growth plan and the connect button is greyed out. The card states the cost plainly: SitesPlaced takes 0% — Shiprocket charges 2% per order.

This is not the same as shipping with Shiprocket

This article is about Shiprocket's checkout. Booking couriers and printing labels is a separate, free connection — the Shiprocket Logistics card — covered in Ship orders with Shiprocket. The two use different logins: checkout uses an API key and secret, shipping uses your Shiprocket email and password.

Before you start

  • You are on the Growth plan or AI Co-founder.
  • Your store currency is INR (Settings → Store details → Currency). Otherwise the card says Shiprocket Checkout supports INR stores only.
  • You have finished KYC & billing onboarding in Shiprocket's checkout dashboard. KYC is the identity check every payment company has to do. The card warns that checkout stays inactive until it is done.
  • Your store has at least one product that is not archived.

Step 1 — Connect your account

  1. 1From your store dashboard, open Settings → Integrations and find the Sell with Shiprocket card.
  2. 2Click Connect Shiprocket Checkout.
  3. 3Sign in to Shiprocket's checkout dashboard at checkout.shiprocket.in. The link on the card is labelled Fastrr Checkout dashboard, which is Shiprocket's own name for this product. There, open Settings → Platform → Custom-Built → API Key and copy the key and the secret.
  4. 4Paste them into the API Key and API Secret Key boxes on the card and click Connect & sync catalog.
  5. 5We check the pair with Shiprocket before saving anything. When it passes you see Connected — catalog syncing to Shiprocket. and your products are copied across so Shiprocket's window can show them.

Both values are encrypted before they are stored — see How SitesPlaced handles your keys. From here on, product and stock changes are sent to Shiprocket for you. Sync catalog now on the card forces a fresh copy whenever you want one, and the card shows when the catalog was last synced.

Step 2 — Finish the setup in Shiprocket

  1. 1The connected card shows an instruction beginning In Shiprocket → Checkout → Custom-Built → Platform Setup. In Shiprocket, set the website domain to the exact domain printed on the card, and save.
  2. 2Still in Shiprocket, open Settings → Custom Endpoint and add the order webhook: click Copy next to the long address on the card and paste it in. A webhook is how Shiprocket tells your store that an order was placed, so this is what brings finished orders into your Orders tab.
  3. 3Back on the card, click Verify setup. Five lines appear — Credentials valid, Store currency is INR, Has at least one product, Growth plan and Order webhook token set — each with a green tick when it is fine, and a hint when it is not.
  4. 4Turn on the switch at the top right of the card. The status changes to Active.

The card also has a folded section called Advanced: catalog pull URLs (only if Shiprocket asks). Leave it alone unless Shiprocket's support team asks you for those addresses.

Delivery and COD charges are set in Shiprocket, not here

Shiprocket's window does not read your Settings → Shipping charges or your Extra COD charge. The card says it directly: Shipping rules, COD charges, prepaid discounts and RTO settings live in your Shiprocket dashboard. Set them there before you go live. RTO means return to origin — a parcel that could not be delivered and comes back to you.

What your customers see

Once the switch is on, your cart shows a Checkout with Shiprocket button in place of the usual checkout form, and every product page gets a Buy with Shiprocket button that checks out that one item. The Coupon code box stays on your cart page, and any coupon or offer applied there is carried into Shiprocket's window. The cart tells the shopper that delivery and any charges are shown at checkout. On the cart page your Minimum order value still has to be met before the button can be pressed; the Buy with Shiprocket button on a product page does not check it.

It replaces the checkout form in your cart

While Shiprocket Checkout is Active, shoppers do not see your standard form — so there is no WhatsApp tab and no Bank Transfer / UPI option in the cart. The standard form comes back on its own if Shiprocket's window cannot start (an empty Shiprocket wallet, for example), if the cart contains a digital download, or if your plan no longer includes it. No order is lost in any of those cases.

Orders and shipping

A Shiprocket Checkout order lands in your Orders tab like any other, with the customer's name, phone and address filled in from Shiprocket. Its Activity list shows Paid via Shiprocket Checkout or Order placed via Shiprocket Checkout — Cash on Delivery, and prepaid ones are counted as Shiprocket checkout in the Payment Methods panel. You get the usual new-order email and stock is updated if you track it.

These orders are created inside Shiprocket, so they are already waiting in your Shiprocket panel. Book the courier and print the label there. Do not also press Create shipment in the order's Ship with Shiprocket panel, or you will have the same parcel in Shiprocket twice. Then move the order along in your Orders tab by hand — Mark shipped, Mark delivered — so your customer's Track Order page stays correct. These orders are also never sent on to Qikink or Printify.

As with any hosted checkout, the buyer types their details inside Shiprocket's window, so a buyer on your block list cannot be refused up front. The order is saved with a note in Activity and you cancel it yourself — see Stop fake and spam orders.

If something goes wrong

It says Invalid API key or Invalid API secret.

Copy both values again from Settings → Platform → Custom-Built → API Key in Shiprocket's checkout dashboard. The secret is long and easy to cut short. These are not the same as your Shiprocket shipping email and password.

The switch is on but my cart still shows the normal form.

The cart only switches over when the store currency is INR, your plan includes Shiprocket Checkout and the card reads Active — click Verify setup and look for a line without a green tick. A cart with a digital download in it always keeps the normal form. And if Shiprocket's window cannot start when the shopper presses the button — unfinished KYC or an empty Shiprocket wallet, for example — the shopper is dropped back to the normal form with a note asking them to complete the order there.

A customer ordered but nothing arrived in my Orders tab.

Check the order webhook. In Shiprocket, Settings → Custom Endpoint must hold the exact address from the card. If the customer was charged and the order still has not appeared after a few minutes, contact support with the customer's phone number.

A new product does not open in Shiprocket's window.

Click Sync catalog now on the card. New products are normally sent across on their own, and the products in a cart are re-sent the moment a shopper starts checkout.

Do I still need Razorpay?

Not for this. Shiprocket collects the money and settles it to you. You can keep Razorpay connected as well, and you can run Razorpay Magic Checkout alongside — the shopper then sees both buttons and picks.

How do I stop using it?

Flip the switch off to pause it; your standard checkout is back at once. Disconnect removes the API key and secret from our systems.
