Branding: logo, colours & fonts

Set your logo and favicon, pick a colour theme and accent colour, choose a brand font, and add an announcement bar.

Last updated 23 August 2026

Your logo, favicon, brand font, accent colour, colour theme, announcement bar and footer tagline all live in Settings → Branding (or search *branding* in Settings). Change them there, press Save, and every page of the storefront updates at once — you never have to edit sections one by one. Branding is included on the free plan; only the Generate with AI button for store copy needs a paid plan (Starter or Growth).

Logo, favicon, font & accent

  1. 1Open Settings → Branding. The first card is Branding.
  2. 2Upload a Store Logo — it shows in your store header. PNG with a transparent background works best; images must be under 2MB. Tick Show store name beside logo in Navigation & menu if you want the name printed next to it.
  3. 3Upload a Favicon (browser tab icon) — the little icon in the browser tab and in bookmarks. Any image works: it is centre-cropped to a square and resized to 192×192 for you.
  4. 4Pick a Brand font from the dropdown. Each option previews in its own typeface, with a one-word feel like *Clean*, *Elegant* or *Bold*. There are over 30 to choose from, from clean sans-serifs to editorial serifs.
  5. 5Set an Accent colour — your main highlight colour for buttons, links and badges — with the colour picker or by typing a hex code like #5C1A1B.
  6. 6Click Save in the bar at the bottom, then open your live store to check.

Fonts apply to everything

The default font keeps the typography your template was designed with. Choose any other font and it is applied to all text on the storefront — headings and body alike — so check headings still fit on a phone after you switch.

Announcement bar

The Announcement bar (top of store) is the thin strip at the very top of every page — e.g. *"Free shipping on orders over ₹999"* or *"Diwali sale: use code DIWALI15"*. Keep it to one line. Clear the box to remove the bar. The Home tab has an Edit announcement shortcut that jumps straight to this field, so it is the fastest place to announce an offer.

Colour theme presets

Under Colour theme you'll find curated palettes designed for your template — each one is tuned to look right with its typography and layout. Every preset shows three swatches; click one to recolour the whole store while keeping it balanced. Choosing a preset also sets your Accent colour to the preset's middle swatch, so if you want a preset's background with your own accent, pick the preset first and then change the accent.

Product page text

The Product page text card styles every product page — the description, price, options and buttons — without touching the home page. You can set Background, Text and Headings colours, a Font (or *Theme default*), Heading Size (S/M/L/XL), Body Size (S/M/L) and Alignment (Left/Center/Right). Reset to theme design clears all overrides. Home, About and Contact sections have the same controls in their own Design tab inside the section editor.

Set a footer Tagline in the Footer card — a short line under your logo in the footer. The Active template card shows which template you're on with an *Active* badge. It is fixed once the store is created; switching would wipe your section content, so to change templates create a new store (see Design your storefront).

Want to edit the footer's *links* (Quick Links, column headings, social icons) rather than the tagline? Those live in Navigation & menu.

Generate with AI

On a paid plan (Starter or Growth) the Branding card has a ✨ Generate with AI button. It writes headlines, taglines and page copy from the one-line business description you gave in Catalog & fields, drops the result into your settings as a draft, and waits for you to press Save — nothing goes live until you do. On the free plan the button reads 🔒 AI Content (Pro).

Good to know & troubleshooting

  • Favicon not changing? Browsers cache tab icons aggressively. SitesPlaced adds a version tag each time you save, but a hard refresh or a new tab may still be needed.
  • "Image must be under 2MB" — compress the logo or export it at a smaller size; a header logo rarely needs to be wider than 600px.
  • Accent colour looks wrong on buttons — very light accents give poor contrast on white. Pick a darker shade, or choose a preset that was tuned for your template.
  • SitesPlaced badge in the footer — that is the free-plan branding, not your tagline. Removing it is part of the Starter and Growth plans.
  • Share previews on WhatsApp use the image from SEO & sharing, not your logo.
What size should my logo be?

Under 2MB, ideally a PNG with a transparent background. Around 600px wide is plenty for a header; the storefront scales it down for phones automatically.

Can I use my own font file?

No. Choose from the fonts in the Brand font dropdown — over 30 curated options that load quickly on every device. Custom font files cannot be uploaded.

Does changing the colour theme delete my content?

No. Presets change colours only. Your sections, products and text are untouched, and you can switch presets as often as you like.

Why is the Generate with AI button locked?

AI copy is a paid feature (Starter or Growth). On the free plan the button shows as AI Content (Pro); you can still write all text yourself in the Design tab.
