Sign in & create your account
How to sign up, sign back in, and what to do when you can't get into your account.
Last updated 23 August 2026
Your SitesPlaced account is where all your websites and stores live. You create it once — with Google or with an email and password — and then sign in the same way every time. Signing up is free, takes under a minute, and doesn't ask for a card.
Create your account
- 1Go to sitesplaced.com.
- 2Click Start Building Free (top-right, or in the menu on a phone).
- 3On the Create your account screen, either click Continue with Google, or fill in Email address and Password and click Continue. First name and Last name are optional.
- 4If you used email, check your inbox for a verification code and enter it.
- 5You're in. New accounts go through a short Welcome to SitesPlaced onboarding — About you, Your goal, Start building. Every step is optional and you can skip it.
- 6Your Dashboard opens, ready for you to create your first site or store.
Referral code (optional)
Above the sign-up box there's a Referral code (optional) field. If a friend sent you a link it's already filled in; otherwise you can paste a code. A valid code shows a green tick and Referred by their name, and gives you 7 days of the Starter plan free. You can sign up without one.
Sign back in
Click Sign in on sitesplaced.com and use the same method you signed up with. If you used Continue with Google the first time, use Google again; if you used email and password, use those. After signing in you land on your Dashboard.
Forgot your password? Use the Forgot password? link on the sign-in screen and follow the email it sends. If you originally signed up with Google there is no password to reset — just click Continue with Google.
One account, all your sites
Everything you build — websites and stores — sits under the same login. Just sign in and pick what you want to work on from your Dashboard. The Free plan includes up to 5 sites; the counter at the top of your Dashboard shows how many you've used.
Your profile and account settings
Click your profile picture in the top-right of the Dashboard or any editor to open the account menu. From there you can Manage account — update your name, email address or password — or Sign out.
Plan, billing and rewards live on a separate page: click Manage Plan on your Dashboard (or go to Plan & Billing). That's where you see which plan is active, when it renews, cancel a subscription, and find your referral link. See Manage your subscription.
Signing in on your phone
The website builder is desktop-only, but the store dashboard works in any phone browser, and the SitesPlaced app for Android (on Google Play) uses the same account. Sign in with the same Google account or email and your sites are already there — including order notifications the moment someone buys. See the mobile app guide.
Can't get in?
- Make sure you're using the same sign-in method you originally used — picking a different option can create a separate, empty account.
- Check you're signing in with the right email address. Many people have two Gmail accounts; try the other one before anything else.
- Didn't get a verification or password-reset email? Check your spam/junk folder and the Promotions tab, then wait a minute and request it again.
- Signed in, but your Dashboard says No sites yet? You're probably in a second account. Click your profile picture to see which email is signed in, Sign out, and sign in with the other one.
- Stuck on a loading screen? Sign-in needs cookies enabled for sitesplaced.com. Try a normal (non-private) window, or a different browser.
Still locked out, or seeing someone else's account? Contact support with the email you signed up with and we'll sort it out fast.
Delete your account
You can delete your account yourself. Open Plan & Billing, scroll to the Danger Zone, and click Delete My Account. A Delete Account? box asks you to type DELETE to confirm. This removes all your sites, stores, products, orders, uploaded files and your sign-in — permanently. There's no undo, so download any invoices or order lists you need first.
Cancel a plan before deleting
Deleting your account doesn't refund a subscription. If you're on a paid plan, cancel it first from Plan & Billing — see Refunds & cancellation — and delete the account after the period ends if you still want to.
Is Google sign-in better than email and password?
Both work the same. Google is one click and nothing to remember; email and password works if you don't use Google. Whichever you pick, keep using it — that's what keeps everything in one account.
Can I change the email on my account?
Yes. Click your profile picture → Manage account and update your email address there. Your sites, plan and orders stay attached to the account.
Can two people share one account?
Nothing stops you sharing a login, but there's one password and one set of notifications. For a shop run by a family or a small team, the simplest setup is one shared account plus the Android app on each phone.
Does deleting a site delete my account?
No. The trash icon on a site card deletes only that site (it asks you to confirm). Your account and other sites stay. Deleting the whole account is a separate action in Plan & Billing.
