Add a blog to your store
Write posts in the Design tab to share stories, launches and guides — great for SEO and bringing customers back.
Last updated 23 August 2026
Every store includes a built-in blog on the free plan. Open the Design tab and switch to the Blog sub-tab to write posts — product launches, care guides, festival gift ideas, behind-the-scenes stories. Published posts appear at /blog on your storefront and each one gets its own page, so they give Google more reasons to send people to your store and give customers a reason to come back between purchases.
Write a post
- 1In Design → Blog, click Add post in the Blog posts card.
- 2Enter a Title. Leave Post link (optional, made from the title) blank and the address is made from the title when you save — e.g. *How to care for silver jewellery* becomes
how-to-care-for-silver-jewellery. Type your own only if you want a shorter address. - 3Upload a Banner image (under 2MB). It appears at the top of the post and as the card image on the blog list.
- 4Write the body in the Content editor. The toolbar gives you headings (three sizes), bold, *italic*, underline and strikethrough, numbered and bulleted lists, links, and a clear-formatting button.
- 5Leave Published (visible on your store) ticked to go live as soon as you save, or untick it to keep the post as a draft.
- 6Click Create post. The post appears in the list with a Published or Draft badge and its address under the title.
Edit, unpublish or delete a post
Each post in the list has Edit and Delete buttons. Edit reopens the form — change anything and click Save changes; untick Published to pull a post offline without losing it. Delete asks you to confirm and then removes the post permanently; there is no recycle bin, so unpublish instead if you might want it back.
What customers see
The blog page lists published posts newest first, each as a card with its banner image, title, the first 160 characters of the text and a Read more link. A post page shows the banner, title, the date it was created, the full content and a ← Back to blog link. The page title on Google becomes *Post title | Store name*, and the description is taken from the opening text — so start every post with a sentence that says what it is about.
Don't want a blog at all? Just hide the **Blog** link in your menu — one click removes it from your storefront. Posts you have written stay saved.
Ideas that work for small stores
- Care and usage guides — *How to store homemade pickles*, *Washing handloom cotton*. These rank for years and reduce returns.
- Gift guides by occasion — Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, weddings, Mother's Day. Link each gift to its product page.
- Behind the brand — where you source, how you make, who packs the orders. Trust sells.
- Launch notes — one short post per new collection, with the announcement bar pointing at it.
- Answers to DM questions — if five customers ask the same thing on WhatsApp, it is a blog post.
Good to know & troubleshooting
- To link to a product inside a post, open the product on your live store, copy the address, and use the editor's link button.
- Only the banner image can be uploaded per post — the editor does not insert images into the body. Put the most important photo in the banner.
- There are no categories, tags, scheduling or author names. Posts are listed in the order they were created; to bump a post, unpublish and recreate it.
- Post not showing on the store — check it is Published and that the store itself is published. Drafts are only visible to you in the dashboard.
- Post link changed after editing the title — the link only changes if you clear the Post link box; otherwise it stays. Shared links keep working as long as you do not edit the link field.
- Pair posts with SEO & sharing settings so the store's share image and description are set before you promote a post on WhatsApp.
Is the blog free?
Yes. The blog is part of every store on the free plan, with no limit on the number of posts.
Can I add photos inside the post, not just a banner?
Not from the editor's toolbar — it supports text formatting, lists and links. Use the banner for the main image and link to product pages for more photos.
Where does the blog appear on my store?
At /blog, with each post at /blog/your-post-link. The Blog link in your header menu points there; hide it in Navigation & menu if you do not want the blog visible.
Can I schedule a post for later?
No. Save it as a draft by unticking Published, then tick it and Save changes when you want it live.
