Email your subscribers with Resend
Send a campaign to the people who signed up on your store — a new drop, a reopening — from your own domain through your own Resend account. Growth plan; about ten minutes to set up.
Last updated 30 September 2026
Your store collects newsletter signups in the Subscribers tab. Until now the only way to write to those people was to export a CSV into another email tool. With Resend connected you can write to all of them straight from the dashboard — and every email goes out from your own domain, through your own Resend account. SitesPlaced never sends your campaigns from its address, so sending limits, bounces and unsubscribes are yours and Resend's, not shared with anyone else.
Growth plan, your own Resend account
Email campaigns are part of the Growth plan (₹499/month, free for 7 days with autopay). Resend itself has a free tier with a daily sending limit and paid plans above it — see resend.com/pricing for the current numbers. SitesPlaced adds nothing per email. The CSV export keeps working on every plan.
What Resend is
Resend is an email-sending service. You add your domain to it once, prove you own it by adding a few DNS records, and from then on it can send email as you@yourdomain.com with the right signatures so inboxes trust it. It also keeps your contacts and can send one email to a whole list at once (a broadcast) with a personal unsubscribe link in each copy. SitesPlaced uses exactly those two things: it keeps your subscriber list in step with a list on your Resend account, and asks Resend to send each campaign.
Set it up (once, about ten minutes)
- 1Create a Resend account at resend.com/signup. The free tier is enough to start.
- 2Verify your domain. In Resend go to Domains → Add domain and type the domain your store uses (for example
mirasbakery.in). Resend shows a few DNS records; add them where your domain is managed (GoDaddy, Hostinger, Cloudflare, …) and wait until the domain reads Verified — usually minutes, sometimes an hour. Only a verified domain can send to other people. - 3Create an API key with full access. In Resend go to API Keys → Create API key, give it a name, and set the permission to Full access — not Sending access. A sending-only key cannot add contacts, and your subscribers must exist on your Resend account before a campaign can reach them. Copy the key that starts with
re_; Resend shows it once. - 4Paste it into SitesPlaced. In your store dashboard open Settings → Integrations → Resend email campaigns. Enter the API key, a From name (what people see as the sender, usually your store's name) and a From email on the domain you verified, then press Verify & connect. SitesPlaced checks the key by reading your domain list, stores it encrypted, and starts adding your subscribers to your Resend account. Press Send me a test email to see one arrive in your own inbox.
Write and send a campaign
Open the Subscribers tab. The Email your subscribers box at the top has a subject, an optional preview line (the text shown under the subject in the inbox) and the message. Write the message as plain text: leave a blank line between paragraphs and they stay as paragraphs; a link you paste becomes clickable. Below the message you see exactly how many people it will go to. Press Send, confirm, and it is on its way — or tick Send later, pick a date and time up to 30 days ahead, and confirm that instead.
Every email uses the same clean layout: your store logo (or name) on top, your message, and a footer with your store name, a link to the store and an Unsubscribe link. The list under the composer shows each campaign with its status — Sending, Scheduled, Sent or Failed — the number of people it went to, the time, and Resend's reason if something went wrong.
How your list stays in step
When you connect, SitesPlaced creates a list (Resend calls it a segment) named after your store on your Resend account and adds your existing subscribers to it a batch at a time — a long list finishes within the hour. From then on each new signup on your store is added within minutes. A campaign will not send until everyone is on the list, so nobody is missed; if you see still being added, wait a few minutes and try again.
Unsubscribes
The unsubscribe link in each email is Resend's own and is personal to that recipient. When someone clicks it, Resend marks them unsubscribed straight away. SitesPlaced reads that back and shows a muted Unsubscribed tag next to them in the Subscribers tab; they stay in your list for your records but are left out of every later campaign and of Copy all. You do not need to manage any of this by hand. Deleting a subscriber with the bin icon removes them from SitesPlaced only — the contact on your Resend account is left as it is.
Disconnecting
Disconnect on the Resend card forgets the API key. Your subscribers and your sent campaigns stay in SitesPlaced, and the contacts already on your Resend account are left untouched. If you connect again later — even to a different Resend account — the whole list is added afresh.
Prefer another email tool?
The Export CSV button in the Subscribers tab still works on every plan. The file includes a column that says who has unsubscribed, so the other tool can honour it.
Why does the from address have to be on a verified domain?
Because that is how inboxes know the email really came from you. Resend only sends to other people from a domain it has verified. The card lists the verified domains it found on your account; if the address you typed is not on one of them, it tells you which ones are.
What do you do with my API key?
It is stored encrypted and used only to add your subscribers to your Resend account, to send the campaigns you write, and to read back who unsubscribed. It never reaches your storefront or your dashboard's page code. See How we handle your keys.
Can I add pictures or change the design?
Not yet. Campaigns use one layout with your logo on top and your message as plain text with links. If you need a designed email, export the CSV into a tool built for that.
Can a team member send campaigns?
Yes — anyone who can open the Subscribers tab can write and send. Connecting or disconnecting the Resend account stays with the store owner, like every other integration.
Does a lapsed plan delete anything?
No. If the Growth plan ends, syncing and sending pause and the connection is kept; everything resumes the moment the plan is back.
