SEO audit and the retargeting kit

Score your whole store's SEO and apply the rewrites you agree with, then set up the Meta and Google product feeds and the Pixel checklist that bring back visitors who did not buy.

Two sections of the AI Co-founder tab deal with people who have not bought from you yet. SEO works on the ones still searching. Retargeting works on the ones who came, looked and left.

The SEO audit

Press Run the audit · 5 credits on the SEO section. The SEO agent reads your store's name, its current search title and description, and up to 25 of your products with their names, descriptions and categories. Archived products are skipped. It comes back with:

  • A score out of 100 and a two or three sentence summary of the biggest problems, in plain words.
  • Eight to twelve keywords buyers in India actually type, usually a mix of English and transliterated Hindi.
  • A new store search title and description, with a line on why. The title is kept to about 60 characters and the description to about 155, because that is what Google shows.
  • A meta description for every product it read, plus a suggested product title, each with a reason.
  • Three to five quick wins you can do today by hand.

Applying the rewrites

Nothing is saved when the audit finishes. Every proposal is a tick box, and every product is ticked by default.

  1. 1Read the store title and description at the top. Untick it if you do not want it.
  2. 2Go down the product list. Untick anything you disagree with. Read them properly: this is your shop window on Google.
  3. 3Press Apply selected (free). Applying costs no credits; you already paid for the audit.
  4. 4A toast tells you how many changes were applied.

Applied text is saved to the same fields you can edit by hand under Settings → SEO & sharing and on each product, so you can fix anything afterwards without running another audit. Long values are trimmed on save so nothing overflows what search engines display.

The audit reads 25 products

If your catalogue is larger, the audit covers the 25 most recently added. Run it again after you add products, or write the rest by hand with the applied ones as your pattern. There is no way to choose which 25 it reads.

Search results do not change the same day. Google has to crawl your pages again, which usually takes days rather than hours. Better titles and descriptions also lift the click rate on rankings you already have, which is the faster of the two effects.

The retargeting kit

Most people who visit an online store leave without buying. Retargeting is showing an ad to exactly those people, which is far cheaper than finding new ones. The Retargeting section is a four-step checklist. Steps go green as they are done, except the last one, which SitesPlaced cannot check for you.

1. Meta Pixel and Conversions API

The Pixel records who visited and what they looked at. The Conversions API sends the same events from our server, so a purchase is still recorded when a browser blocks the Pixel. Both are built into your store. Connect your Pixel ID and access token under Settings → Tracking & code, and the step turns green with your Pixel ID and how many server events went out in the last 24 hours. Purchase events sent from the server are matched with the browser Pixel so Meta does not count an order twice. There is a fuller guide at Meta Pixel & Conversions API.

2. Product feed for Meta Catalog

A catalogue lets Meta show the exact product someone looked at, with its picture and price. Your store publishes one as a CSV file at your store's own address, ending in /feed.csv. Press Copy on the section to take the URL, then in Commerce Manager go to Catalog → Data sources → Scheduled feed and paste it in. Meta fetches it on a schedule, so it keeps up as you edit products. Archived products are left out.

3. Product feed for Google Merchant Center

The same catalogue in the format Google wants, as an XML file ending in /feed.xml. Copy the URL, then in Merchant Center go to Products → Feeds and add it as a scheduled fetch. This is what makes Shopping ads and free product listings on Google possible.

4. Retargeting audiences

This part happens in Meta Ads Manager, and the section spells out the audiences worth building from your Pixel:

  • All visitors, last 30 days. The widest net.
  • Viewed a product, last 14 days. Warmer, and worth a higher bid.
  • Added to cart, last 7 days. The most likely to buy of the three.
  • Exclude buyers who purchased in the last 30 days, so you are not paying to advertise to people who already bought.

For the ad copy itself, use the campaign planner. It writes five hooks sized for Meta ads.

The feeds are public URLs

Anyone with the link can read your product names, descriptions, prices and stock status, the same information already on your storefront. The feeds only work while the store is published and the plan is active. Do not paste one anywhere you would not paste your store address.

A sensible order

  1. 1Run the SEO audit and apply the rewrites. It is the cheapest work on the page and it keeps paying without you.
  2. 2Connect the Pixel and Conversions API. Retargeting needs data, and the data starts building only once it is on.
  3. 3Add both feeds. They take five minutes each and cost nothing to keep running.
  4. 4Wait a couple of weeks for the audiences to fill, then build them in Ads Manager and run a campaign.
Does the SEO audit change my product names?

No. It suggests a title as an idea you can copy by hand, but applying only writes the meta description, the short line that shows under your link in search results. Your product names on the store are never touched.

How often should I run the audit?

Once when you set the store up, and again after a batch of new products or a change in what you sell. Running it weekly on an unchanged catalogue spends credits without adding anything.

Do the feeds need the AI Co-founder plan?

Yes. The feed addresses only serve while the store is published and the owner's plan includes them.

My Pixel step is not going green.

The step needs both a Pixel ID and an access token saved under Settings → Tracking & code, and the tracking switch on. If it is connected but shows no server events, no orders have been placed in the last 24 hours, which is normal on a quiet store.

Can I use the SEO agent instead of the audit?

Yes. The SEO agent, Beacon, answers questions and rewrites copy a page at a time for 1 credit a message. The audit is the whole-store version at 5 credits, and it is better value when you want everything looked at in one pass.
