How plans work (free vs premium)
SitesPlaced is freemium — every site publishes free, and you only pay for premium extras like a custom domain.

SitesPlaced is freemium. Every kind of site you can build here — a website, a student portfolio, an online store, or a gym — publishes for free on a sitesplaced.com address. There's no trial timer and no card needed to go live. You pay only when you want a premium extra: your own domain, the SitesPlaced badge removed, AI copy, analytics, or the Meta and WhatsApp Business integrations.
There are three paid options, and each one is tied to a type of site. That's the single most important thing to understand before you pay, because buying the wrong one doesn't unlock anything on the site you actually run.
What you get free
- Publish any site free at
yourname.sitesplaced.com(with a small "Powered by SitesPlaced" badge). - For stores: 0% commission on every sale, plus unlimited products and orders.
- All templates and full customisation — design, content, menus and pages.
- Online payments, cash on delivery and WhatsApp checkout for stores.
- Shiprocket and Shipmozo shipping, inventory, coupons, offers and PDF invoices.
- Up to 5 sites per account and 500 MB of uploaded images and files.
What you pay for
- A custom domain (e.g.
yourbrand.com) instead of the free sitesplaced.com address. - Removing SitesPlaced branding — the footer badge and the tab-title suffix.
- Premium add-ons for stores and other verticals.
- Student portfolios unlock with a small one-time payment (not a recurring plan).
The three paid options
Growth — ₹499/month, the selling features for stores and gyms
This is the plan for anyone focused on selling more. It includes everything in Starter — a custom domain, badge removal, AI product descriptions and store copy, store analytics, custom head code (Google Analytics, Clarity or any tag) and Meta Pixel + Conversions API — and adds WhatsApp Business API order alerts from your own number, the sales boosters, product reviews with the Judge.me import and Shiprocket 1-click checkout. Storage goes up to 5 GB. Gym sites use the same plan at the same price and get the bookings CRM.
₹499/month is an early-bird price for the first 50 stores. Once those spots are taken the plan moves to ₹999/month. The pricing page shows the live count — how many are taken and how many are left — so you can see exactly where it stands. Billed annually it's ₹4,990/year, which is 10 months' price for 12 months.
Starter — ₹199/month, your own name on any website or store
For any website or store. It adds a custom domain, removes the badge, and unlocks AI resume parsing, AI content generation, lead forms, custom head code, store analytics and Meta Pixel + Conversions API. Storage is 2 GB. Billed annually it's ₹1,990/year.
Student — ₹99 one-time, for student portfolios
Student portfolios are free to build and publish with all templates, AI autofill and a custom domain included. The only thing ₹99 buys is removing the badge, forever. It's a one-time order, not a subscription — nothing renews. It applies to student portfolio sites only.
The ₹99 Student plan does not unlock a store
Store owners sometimes buy the ₹99 plan expecting the badge to disappear from their shop. It won't — that plan is scoped to student portfolios. For a store you need Starter or Growth. Checkout shows a "Quick check — is this for a student portfolio?" step so you can stop before paying.
Monthly or annual?
Both the pricing page and the Plan & Billing page have a Monthly / Annual toggle. Annual is always priced at 10 months — two months free. If you're confident you'll keep the site for the year, pick Annual; if you're testing, start Monthly and switch later. Cancelling never takes your site offline either way.
Outside India?
Prices switch to your local currency on the pricing page and in billing (for example Starter $7.99/month, Growth $14.99/month, Student $3 one-time in USD). Payment is handled by Dodo Payments instead of Razorpay, and the early-bird counter applies to rupee pricing only.
No surprises
You can build, preview and publish without paying anything. An upgrade is always an explicit choice you make — never something that happens automatically.
Good to know
- You can hold more than one plan — for example Starter for your website and Growth for your store. The Plan & Billing page shows them together as "Starter + Growth Plan".
- An upgrade applies the moment payment is confirmed. You'll land on your dashboard with the new plan active and get a "Payment confirmed" email.
- Paid plans are per account, not per site, but each paid plan covers one site; the Student unlock only ever applies to a student portfolio.
- Done-for-you option: if you'd rather not build it yourself, the pricing page has a Custom Website card with a Book a call button. Pricing for that is discussed on the call — there's no fixed figure.

Is SitesPlaced really free, or is it a trial?
Really free. There's no trial period and no card required. Free sites and stores stay live indefinitely with a small SitesPlaced badge. Paid plans add extras; they don't unlock publishing.
How much does the Growth plan cost?
₹499/month (or ₹4,990/year) as an early-bird price for the first 50 stores. After those spots are taken it's ₹999/month. The pricing page shows the live count.
Can I use the ₹99 Student plan for my business website or store?
No. It only removes the badge on student portfolio sites. A business website or store needs Starter (or Growth for the selling features).
Do I need two plans if I have a website and a store?
Yes — each paid plan covers one site, and Starter and Growth each work on any website or store. Your account can hold both at once, for example Starter on the website and Growth on the store.
