Frequently asked questions
At what point is SitesPlaced cheaper than Payhip?
Payhip's free plan takes 5%, so around $300 a month in sales costs you about $15 — the same as our paid plan, which takes nothing. Above that we are cheaper and the gap widens.
Does SitesPlaced handle EU VAT?
Not by itself. You can switch on Stripe Tax and Stripe will calculate VAT at checkout, but you remain the seller of record. Payhip handles more of this for you.
Can I sell both files and physical products?
Yes — that is a real difference. We handle downloads and physical products in the same store, with stock, variants and shipping labels.
