bKash is built into every SitesPlaced store priced in Bangladeshi taka, on the free plan. You connect your own bKash merchant account by pasting the four credentials bKash emails you when it switches on its payment gateway: username, password, app key and app secret. Customers pay on bKash's own page with their wallet number, SMS code and PIN. bKash only takes the money once the customer is back on your store and bKash itself confirms the payment, so an order is never marked paid on a guess. Money settles to your bKash merchant account; SitesPlaced charges 0% commission and bKash's own fee applies.

The way Bangladesh already pays

No half-paid orders
bKash takes the money at the very last step, once the customer is back on your store. A customer who closes the page early has not been charged, so nothing is left to chase.
Payments verified, not assumed
An order is marked paid only when bKash confirms the payment completed, for the right amount and the right order. A tampered return link confirms nothing.

How to set up bKash
Where: Dashboard → your store → Settings → Payments & invoices → bKash. Takes: about 5 minutes (once bKash has sent your credentials).
Ask bKash to switch on its payment gateway for you
A personal account or an ordinary merchant number is not enough. bKash has to enable its payment gateway (PGW) service on your merchant account, and then emails you a username, password, app key and app secret.
Set your store currency to taka
In your SitesPlaced dashboard open Settings → Store details and choose BDT. bKash only takes payments in taka, so the option stays hidden on any other currency.
Paste the four values into your store
Open Settings → Payments & invoices, paste the live username, password, app key and app secret into the bKash card and connect. We log in to bKash with them before saving, so check them first: bKash only allows a couple of logins an hour.
Switch it on and place a test order
Tick “Customers can pay with bKash”, then buy something on your live store. The order appears in the Orders tab marked paid, with bKash's transaction ID on it.
Good to know
- ✓bKash settles in taka only. The option appears only on a store whose currency is BDT.
- ✓There is no dashboard to copy the credentials from. They arrive by email from bKash when the payment gateway service is approved, usually as a sandbox set and a live set.
- ✓Sandbox and live credentials are not interchangeable, and the Mode setting must match the set you paste.
- ✓bKash limits how often anyone can log in with your credentials. Several wrong attempts in a row lock logins for about an hour, so paste carefully.
- ✓Refunds are issued from your bKash merchant panel. Update the order status in SitesPlaced by hand so your records match.

Frequently asked questions
Is bKash free on SitesPlaced?
Yes. The integration is on the free plan and SitesPlaced charges 0% commission. bKash's own fee still applies, as it would on any website.
Can I use my personal bKash number?
No. Website payments need a bKash merchant account with the payment gateway service switched on by bKash. With only a personal or ordinary merchant number, use the Pay the store directly option at checkout instead and share your number with the customer.
Where does the money go?
Into the bKash merchant account you connect. SitesPlaced never holds your funds and cannot pay itself from them.
Can I charge different delivery fees inside and outside Dhaka?
Yes. Under Settings → Shipping you can offer two delivery options with your own names and prices, such as Inside Dhaka and Outside Dhaka, and the customer picks one at checkout. The order also carries the customer's district, chosen from a fixed list, so you can check the right option was picked.
Do I need to set up a webhook?
No. bKash takes no money until the customer is back on your store, so there is no paid-but-unconfirmed order for a webhook to rescue.
