Cashfree is built into every SitesPlaced store on the free plan. You connect your own Cashfree account by pasting the App ID and Secret Key from Developers → API Keys. Customers pay on Cashfree's own hosted page, and every payment is re-checked with Cashfree server-side before the order is marked paid. Money settles to your Cashfree account; SitesPlaced charges 0% commission and Cashfree's own gateway fee applies.

Every Indian payment method
UPI, credit and debit cards, net banking, wallets and pay-later options, on Cashfree's own hosted checkout. Which ones appear is controlled in your Cashfree dashboard.
Two values, and you're connected
An App ID and a Secret Key from your own dashboard. We check them against Cashfree before saving, so a key that has not been activated fails here rather than at a customer's checkout.
Nothing to set up for notifications
The order-notification address is sent with every payment automatically. There is no webhook to configure — though you can add one in Cashfree as a second safety net if you like.
Payments verified, not assumed
Cashfree signs its notifications, and we read the order back from Cashfree before marking anything paid. A tampered return URL confirms nothing.

How to set up Cashfree
Where: Dashboard → your store → Settings → Payments & invoices → Cashfree. Takes: about 5 minutes (with an activated Cashfree account).
Get your API keys from Cashfree
Sign in to your Cashfree dashboard, open Developers → API Keys, choose the Production environment, and copy the App ID and Secret Key.
Remove any IP allowlist on the key
If the key is restricted to specific IP addresses, remove that restriction. Our servers do not have a fixed IP, so an allowlisted key cannot work.
Paste them into your store
In your SitesPlaced dashboard open Settings → Payments & invoices, paste both into the Cashfree card, leave Mode on Production and connect. We verify them with Cashfree before saving.
Switch it on and place a test order
Tick “Customers can pay with Cashfree”, then buy something on your live store. The order appears in the Orders tab marked paid once the payment completes.
Good to know
- ✓Cashfree settles in rupees. For overseas customers paying in dollars, pounds or euros, connect Stripe or PayPal as well.
- ✓Test and production keys are not interchangeable, and the Mode setting must match the keys you paste. Connecting production keys in Test mode fails on purpose — the alternative is orders that look paid but never settle.
- ✓Your account needs to be activated by Cashfree before production keys will work. Until then the connection will be rejected with Cashfree's own reason.
- ✓Cashfree's payment page opens in the same tab and returns the customer to your store, where the order is confirmed. If they close it mid-payment, Cashfree's notification confirms the order instead.
- ✓Refunds are issued from your Cashfree dashboard. Update the order status in SitesPlaced by hand so your records match.

Frequently asked questions
Is Cashfree free on SitesPlaced?
Yes. The integration is on the free plan and SitesPlaced charges 0% commission. Cashfree's own per-transaction fee still applies, as it would on any website.
Should I use Cashfree, PhonePe or Razorpay?
All three cover the same payment methods for Indian customers, so the practical question is which approved your business and on what rates. There is no cost to connecting more than one, and having a spare means a gateway outage does not stop you taking orders.
Where does the money go?
Into the Cashfree account you connect, on Cashfree's normal settlement schedule. SitesPlaced never holds your funds and cannot pay itself from them.
My key keeps getting rejected.
Three usual causes: the key is from the Test environment while Mode is set to Production (or the reverse), the account has not been activated by Cashfree yet, or the key has an IP allowlist on it. The error message on the card tells you which.
Do I need to set up a webhook?
No. We send the notification address with every payment automatically. Adding it in Cashfree under Developers → Webhooks gives you a second safety net, but nothing breaks without it.
