The Shopify connector is in early access: it is not available to every account today. When it is switched on for a shop, it copies that shop's orders into SitesPlaced so they appear in the order dashboard and mobile app, can be booked with a courier and get a tracking page. Shopify stays in charge of payment, stock, cancellation and refunds; SitesPlaced sends back only fulfilment and tracking. If you run WooCommerce, that plugin is available now.

What Shopify does on a SitesPlaced store
Orders copied in
New orders, changes, cancellations and refunds arrive from Shopify on their own. Shopify test orders are skipped. Cancel and refund on Shopify; the copy in SitesPlaced follows.
The last 60 days of history
When a shop connects, the connector brings in up to 60 days of past orders. That limit is Shopify's own: an app can read only the last 60 days of a shop's orders unless Shopify grants it wider access.
Fulfilment and tracking sent back
When you ship an order in SitesPlaced, the connector marks it fulfilled on Shopify and adds the tracking number, courier and link. An order that is already fulfilled gets its tracking updated instead of a second fulfilment.
Customer details need Shopify's approval
Shopify treats a shopper's name, address, phone number and email as protected customer data, and an app must be approved before it can read them. This approval is part of what early access is waiting on. Without those details an order is stored under the name “Customer”, and WhatsApp messages and the phone check on the tracking page cannot work for it.
Which plan, and what it costs
- ✓SitesPlaced: The same as any connected shop. Free: one connected shop, order sync and the tracking page with the SitesPlaced badge. A paid store plan (Growth or AI Co-founder) allows five connected shops, removes the badge and includes WhatsApp order messages.
- ✓Third-party fees: None from SitesPlaced. Your Shopify plan, payment and courier charges stay whatever they are today.

Approve the connection when it opens for your shop
You will sign in to SitesPlaced, see the address of the shop being connected, choose to create a new connected store or pick one of your stores, and approve.
Check the first orders
New orders start to arrive in the SitesPlaced order dashboard, and up to 60 days of past orders are brought in without notifications.
Good to know
- ✓The connector is not available to every account today. We will not give a date until we can keep it.
- ✓It is not listed in the Shopify App Store.
- ✓If you remove the app from your Shopify admin, the connection is closed and SitesPlaced deletes its access to your shop at once. Orders already copied stay in SitesPlaced.
- ✓When Shopify sends a request to erase a shopper's data, the shopper's details on the copied orders are anonymised.
- ✓Two-way stock sync is not part of this. Shopify stays in charge of stock.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect my Shopify shop today?
Not yet, unless we have opened early access for your shop. The connector is built but not switched on for everyone. Ask at /contact and we will tell you when your shop can connect.
Why only 60 days of past orders?
That limit is Shopify's own. An app can read the last 60 days of a shop's orders unless Shopify grants it wider access. Orders placed after you connect are all copied, with no time limit.
What is protected customer data?
It is Shopify's name for a shopper's personal details: name, address, phone number and email. Shopify asks every app to be approved before it can read them. SitesPlaced needs them to show you who ordered, to send WhatsApp order messages and to run the phone or email check on the tracking page.
Will it change my Shopify checkout, payments or stock?
No. Shopify stays in charge of all three. SitesPlaced sends back only fulfilment and tracking.
I use WooCommerce. Do I have to wait too?
No. The WooCommerce plugin is available now as a zip download.
