SitesPlaced runs an MCP server at https://sitesplaced.com/api/mcp. Add it as a connector in ChatGPT (Settings → Apps & Connectors → Developer mode → Create connector), Claude (Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector), Claude Code or Cursor, sign in with your SitesPlaced account over OAuth, and the assistant can list your sites, create a store from a blueprint, add and update products, edit sections and store settings, and publish. It only sees sites owned by the account you sign in with. Free plan; plan-gated actions return an upgrade link instead of failing silently.

Create and edit by chatting
List your sites, read the section registry, create a site or store from a blueprint, add or update products, edit section content and store configuration, and publish — all as tools your assistant calls.
Your account, your sites only
Authentication is OAuth against your SitesPlaced login. The connector never sees or edits sites that are not yours, and every action is attributed to you.
Works with the clients you already use
ChatGPT connectors, Claude on the web, Claude Code and Cursor all speak MCP. The developers page has the exact clicks for each.
Plan-aware
If you ask for something on a paid plan — a custom domain, say — the tool returns an upgrade link rather than a vague error, so the assistant can tell you exactly what to do.

How to set up ChatGPT & Claude (MCP)

Copy the server URL
The SitesPlaced MCP endpoint is https://sitesplaced.com/api/mcp.
Add it as a connector
ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → enable Developer mode → Create connector → paste the URL. Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL. Claude Code and Cursor: add the URL to your MCP configuration (see /developers/mcp).
Sign in
On first use you are asked to sign in to SitesPlaced and approve the connection. That is the OAuth step — no API keys.
Ask for something
Try “list my sites”, then “add a product called … at ₹… to my store” or “rewrite the hero of my store to sound more premium, then publish”.
Good to know
- ✓The connector exposes the same section and storefront editing actions as the dashboard, with image rehosting for product photos you reference by URL.
- ✓Use the apex URL exactly as printed; other hosts will not authenticate.
- ✓Anything you change via the assistant shows up immediately in the dashboard, and vice versa.

Frequently asked questions
Is the MCP connector free?
Yes. It is on the free plan. Paid-plan features stay gated exactly as in the dashboard, and the tool returns an upgrade link when you hit one.
Which AI clients work?
ChatGPT (custom connectors in Developer mode), Claude on the web, Claude Code and Cursor — any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth.
Can the assistant delete my store?
Destructive actions are limited and scoped to your own account. It is still a good idea to read what the assistant proposes before confirming a change that publishes.
Does it work for websites as well as stores?
Yes. The same connector creates and edits SitesPlaced websites (portfolios, business sites) and stores.
