Meta Pixel and Conversions API, built in and deduplicated.

Paste your Pixel ID and Conversions API token once. The pixel loads on your live store, and the authoritative Purchase is sent from the server off the order record — with the browser leg sharing the same event ID — so Ads Manager counts real orders, not guesses.

Meta Pixel + Conversions API is on the ₹499/month Ecommerce plan and is bring-your-own-credentials. Under Settings → Tracking & code → Meta Pixel & Conversions API you paste your Pixel ID and a Conversions API access token from Events Manager. SitesPlaced then loads your pixel natively on the live storefront (PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, Purchase) and sends the authoritative Purchase event server-side from the order record with the order ID as the event ID; the browser fires a matching Purchase with the same ID and Meta keeps one. Failed sends are queued and retried.

What Meta Pixel + Conversions API does on a SitesPlaced store

Your pixel, loaded natively

No pasting of the base code. SitesPlaced initialises your Pixel ID on every store page and fires PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart and InitiateCheckout with a shared event ID.

Purchase from the server

The authoritative Purchase is sent through the Conversions API from the order record when the order is placed — it does not depend on the thank-you page loading, ad blockers or iOS tracking limits. The browser fires a matching Purchase with the same event ID for the pixel's own reporting, and Meta keeps one.

Deduplicated, as Meta recommends

Browser and server events share one event ID (the order ID for Purchase), so Meta keeps one copy. Customer details are hashed on the server before they are sent.

Test events and retries

Add a test event code from Events Manager to see events in the Test Events tab (it expires after 24 hours). Failed sends go to an outbox and are retried automatically.

Which plan, and what it costs

  • SitesPlaced: ₹499/month Ecommerce plan (early-bird price for the first 30 stores; ₹999/month after), which also includes a custom domain, branding removal, AI copy and store analytics.
  • Third-party fees: None. Meta does not charge for Pixel or Conversions API events; you pay only for the ads you run.

On Shopify the Pixel is native but server-side Conversions API setup is often done through an app; on SitesPlaced Pixel + CAPI is built in and deduplicated on the ₹499/month plan.

Full plan details are on the pricing page. Plan tags on every SitesPlaced page mirror the real entitlement gate in the product, as of August 23, 2026.

How to set up Meta Pixel + Conversions API

Where: Dashboard → your store → Settings → Tracking & code → Meta Pixel & Conversions API. Takes: about 5 minutes.

  1. Get your Pixel ID

In Meta Events Manager open your pixel (dataset). The numeric ID, for example 123456789012345, is shown in its settings.

  2. Generate a Conversions API token

In the same pixel's Settings, under Conversions API, click Generate access token (or create one via a system user). Copy the EAA… token.

  3. Paste into SitesPlaced

Settings → Tracking & code → Meta Pixel & Conversions API → Pixel ID and Conversions API access token (Test event code optional) → Connect. SitesPlaced sends one PageView through the Conversions API to confirm Meta received it and stores the token encrypted.

  4. Verify in Events Manager

Open your live store and place a test order. In Events Manager you should see browser and server events paired, with Purchase arriving from the server. Remove any test event code for production.

Good to know

  • The integration runs on your published store origin (your sitesplaced.site link or custom domain), not in the editor preview.
  • Do not also paste the Pixel base code under Header code. The native integration fires its own events only on the pixel it loads, but a pasted snippet's PageView would still be counted a second time — the dashboard warns you if it detects one. Use the native card alone.
  • You can pause events from the card without disconnecting, and resend a test PageView at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need the Conversions API if I have the Pixel?

Browser pixels miss purchases when the thank-you page does not load, when an ad blocker runs, or under iOS tracking limits. Sending Purchase from the server off the order record closes that gap, and deduplication means Meta never counts an order twice.

Is this on the free plan?

No. Meta Pixel + Conversions API is on the ₹499/month Ecommerce plan. On the free plan you cannot add tracking code to the store.

Which events are sent?

PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart and InitiateCheckout from the browser with matching server copies. The authoritative Purchase is sent server-side from the order record using the order ID as the event ID; the browser fires a matching leg with the same event ID, and Meta keeps one.

Does SitesPlaced see my ad account?

No. SitesPlaced stores your Pixel ID and an access token scoped to sending events, and uses them only to send your store's events to Meta.

Can I use a test event code?

Yes. Set it from Events Manager → Test Events when connecting or later from the card; it is applied for up to 24 hours and should be removed for production.
