Black Friday is on Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November 2026. Put three to five hero products on sale, keep the rest at full price, run one coupon with an expiry and a minimum order, and tell your buyers on WhatsApp and Instagram a week before. On SitesPlaced the store is free with 0% commission — sale prices, coupons, the free-shipping bar, the announcement bar, UPI, cash on delivery and WhatsApp checkout included. Growth adds Buy X Get Y and the sales boosters, and every paid plan makes store pages answer about 4× faster. In India you can pay once, with no autopay.

Your Black Friday plan, week by week
10–16 November: decide what goes on sale, and what does not
Black Friday buyers in India come for electronics and accessories, fashion, beauty and home. Pick three to five hero products you can discount and still make money on, keep the rest at full price, and do the maths once on paper before you touch the store.
17–20 November: set the offer, then test it
A sale price with the old price struck through, or one coupon such as BLACKFRIDAY with an expiry date and a minimum order. Add free delivery above an order value so small carts grow. Place a test order yourself and check the invoice.
21–26 November: tease it on Instagram and WhatsApp
Stories with a countdown you post yourself, a reel showing the hero products, and one WhatsApp status a day. Put the sale dates in the announcement bar at the top of every page so nobody asks.
Black Friday (Friday 27 November 2026): one message, early
Send the sale-is-live message in the morning, not at midnight. Reply to every enquiry with the product link. Watch stock on the hero products; the store stops selling an option when it runs out, but you decide whether to restock.
Saturday and Sunday: keep it going without a new discount
The weekend is the long tail. Free gift wrap, a bundle of two bestsellers, or free delivery above a value does more than a second markdown.
Cyber Monday (Monday 30 November 2026): the electronics day
Earbuds, chargers, cables, cases, small gadgets under ₹999. If you sell any of these, Monday is your day; if you do not, use it as the last-hours message for the same coupon and let it expire that night.
1 December onward: straight into Christmas
Remove the sale prices by hand, thank every buyer on WhatsApp, and move the hero products into gift boxes and hampers. The Christmas plan starts the same week.
The sale tools in your store
Everything below is built into a SitesPlaced store. The plan each one needs is in its title — the Black Friday basics are free.
Sale prices with a strikethrough · Free
Set an original price above the price and the store shows the markdown on the card and the product page. Remove it by hand when the sale ends.
Coupons with an expiry and a minimum order · Free
A BLACKFRIDAY code that stops working on its own on the night of Cyber Monday, with a minimum order so it never applies to a ₹99 cart.
Free-shipping bar · Free
“Add ₹200 more for free delivery” at the top of the cart. The simplest way to turn one item into two.
Announcement bar and pause ordering · Free
Sale dates at the top of every page, and pause ordering with your own message if you sell out or stop shipping.
Delivery area and exact-amount UPI QR · Free
Deliver only to the pincodes you serve, and for manual UPI payments show a QR with the exact amount on the order-placed screen.
Buy X Get Y and sales boosters · Growth
“Buy 2 Get 1”, a slide-out cart with upsells, frequently bought together and a post-purchase offer, for bigger orders without a deeper discount.
What sells on Black Friday in India?
Black Friday buyers are comparing, not browsing. They come for a visible markdown on something they already wanted. If you already sell, put your three bestsellers on sale rather than a new product line; if you are starting, pick one category below.
- ✓Electronics accessories — earbuds, chargers, cables, cases, small gadgets under ₹999 (Cyber Monday's day)
- ✓Winter wear — sweaters, hoodies, shawls, kids' woollens, just as the cold season starts
- ✓Skincare and beauty sets — a bundle at a set price beats a percentage off
- ✓Home décor and small furniture — lamps, rugs, cushions, organisers
- ✓Footwear and bags — one hero style at a markdown, the rest full price
- ✓Gift-ready bundles — two bestsellers in one box, ready for the Christmas list
Pick the free template that matches what you sell — you can change the colours, fonts and photos for the sale.

Frequently asked questions
When is Black Friday 2026 in India?
Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026, the day after the US Thanksgiving, and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November 2026. In India the sales run online, from the Friday through the weekend to the Monday. Most small sellers start teasing the offer about a week before.
Is Black Friday really a thing in India?
Yes, and mostly online. Indian marketplaces and brands have run Black Friday sales for several years, strongest in electronics and accessories, fashion, beauty and home. Buyers now expect an offer that weekend, which is exactly why a small seller should have one ready rather than a bigger discount than everyone else.
What should a small seller put on sale for Black Friday?
Three to five hero products you can discount and still make money on, with everything else at full price. Electronics accessories, winter wear, skincare sets, home décor, gadgets under ₹999 and gift-ready bundles do well. Do the maths once: a 20% discount on a ₹999 product with a ₹540 cost takes almost half the profit, so a bundle or free delivery above a value is often the better offer.
Can I run a Black Friday sale on a free store?
Yes. On SitesPlaced the store is free with 0% commission: sale prices with a strikethrough, coupons with an expiry date and a minimum order, the free-shipping bar, the announcement bar, pause ordering, UPI and cards through your own Razorpay, PhonePe or Cashfree account, cash on delivery and WhatsApp checkout are all free. Growth adds Buy X Get Y and the sales boosters.
Is there a countdown timer or flash-sale feature?
No. A timed sale on SitesPlaced is a coupon with an expiry date, a sale price you set and remove by hand, and the sale dates in the announcement bar. That covers everything a Black Friday weekend needs without a widget that fakes urgency. If you have connected ChatGPT or Claude to your store, the assistant can set the coupon and the announcement bar with a start and an end for you.
Should I run Black Friday or save the discount for Diwali and Christmas?
Run both, differently. Diwali (Sunday 8 November 2026) is gifting and sweets; Black Friday is electronics, fashion, beauty and home at a visible markdown; Christmas is hampers and Secret Santa. The same store, the same coupon tool, three different offers three weeks apart.
