What to sell on Black Friday in India 2026: 24 products for a small store
Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026. In India it is an online sale more than a shop sale, and it is strongest for electronics and accessories, fashion, beauty and home. So the short answer is: sell something from those four groups, priced under what a buyer would spend without thinking twice, and shown with the old price struck through. Below are 24 products that suit a small store, grouped that way, with example price points, a note on who actually buys on Black Friday here, and the fastest way to have them listed and selling by Friday. If you are still deciding whether the day is worth your time, read Is Black Friday a thing in India? first; this post assumes you are running one.
Four dates matter this month. Diwali is this Sunday, 8 November 2026. Black Friday is Friday 27 November, the day after the US Thanksgiving on Thursday 26 November, and Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. Christmas is Friday 25 December, four weeks after Black Friday, which is why gift-ready products belong in this sale too.
TL;DR
- • Sell from the four groups Black Friday is strongest for in India: electronics and accessories, fashion, beauty, home. Add gift-ready sets, because Christmas is four weeks later.
- • Pick a few products, not the whole catalogue. The buyer wants one clear deal, not a store-wide percentage.
- • Show the old price struck through. On SitesPlaced that is the Original price field on the product, free.
- • Run it Friday to Monday with one coupon that expires on 30 November.
- • List on the free plan today. Everything a four-day sale needs is on it.
Black Friday in India, in one paragraph
Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States, where it is the start of Christmas shopping. India has no Thanksgiving, but Indian marketplaces and brands have run Black Friday sales for several years now, almost all of them online, and shoppers have learnt the date. It lands three weeks after Diwali, when people have finished buying for the family and are buying for themselves: the earbuds they held off on, winter clothes, skincare, something for the house. That is why the four groups below are the ones to sell from. You will not find a sales figure in this post. Nobody publishes reliable ones for small sellers, and you should plan from your own costs, not from someone else’s estimate.
1. Electronics and accessories
This is the group Black Friday is known for, in India as everywhere else. A small store cannot beat a marketplace on a branded phone, so sell the things around the phone: small, light, under ₹1,000, and bought without much thought.
- TWS earbuds and neckbands — the classic Black Friday buy; put the hours of playback on the card.
- Fast chargers and Type-C cables — everyone needs a second one; sell the charger and cable as one set.
- Phone cases and screen guards — cheap, light and bought in twos; name the phone model so search finds them.
- Power banks — a 10,000 mAh unit under ₹1,000 is an easy yes; keep the capacity in the first badge.
- Smartwatch straps and earbud cases — accessories for things people already own; low cost, decent margin.
- Desk accessories: laptop stands, mouse pads, cable organisers — the work-from-home buyer upgrades the desk in a sale.
This group has its own post, with the under-₹999 price points and how to put the key spec on the product card: Cyber Monday in India: what to sell online.
2. Fashion
Late November is winter in most of India and the start of the wedding season. Fashion on Black Friday is about basics and warm things, not occasion wear.
- Hoodies, sweatshirts and joggers — the winter uniform; sizes S to XXL, a few colours, nothing more.
- Shawls, stoles and mufflers — light to ship, easy to gift, no size problem.
- Sneakers and casual footwear — a footwear discount is one of the few that pulls a buyer off a marketplace, if the size chart is clear.
- Multipacks of basics: socks, t-shirts, innerwear — three-for or five-for packs; the pack is the discount.
- Bags: totes, sling bags, laptop sleeves — one bag in three colours, photographed on a plain background.
Sizes, photos and returns for warm clothing are covered in How to sell winter wear online in India.
3. Beauty
Beauty buyers know their products and wait for a price. The Black Friday product here is a set: three items for less than the three apart.
- Skincare sets: cleanser, serum, moisturiser — a routine in one box; say the skin type on the card.
- Hair care and hair tools — oils, masks, a brush or a dryer; the dryer is the deal and the rest ride along.
- Perfumes and body mists — gift-ready without wrapping; a discovery set of small bottles sells well.
- Nail and makeup kits — small, cheap to ship, bought as treats and as Secret Santa gifts.
Cosmetics have rules of their own in India; CDSCO is the authority. If you make the products yourself, confirm what applies to you before you list them.
4. Home
The post-Diwali house has been cleaned and decorated and now gets upgraded: warm bedding, kitchen help, lights that stay up till New Year.
- Fleece blankets, comforters and bedsheet sets — the winter purchase; heavy, so give the product its own delivery fee.
- Kitchen tools and storage: containers, jars, choppers — cheap, useful, bought in sets.
- Fairy lights, lamps and candles — Diwali lights come down and Christmas lights go up; the same product sells twice.
- Organisers: wardrobe, drawer, shoe racks — the January reset starts in a November sale.
- Kids: toys, puzzles, room décor — Children’s Day is Saturday 14 November and Christmas follows a month later.
5. Gift-ready and New Year
Christmas is four weeks after Black Friday and office Secret Santa draws are already happening. Products that are already a gift sell in this sale at full margin.
- Gift sets and hampers — the free build-your-own hamper page lets the buyer choose what goes in.
- Personalised gifts: mugs, name necklaces, photo frames — a text note and a photo upload on the product, set per product.
- 2027 planners, diaries and desk calendars — the New Year buy, bought in November by the organised and in January by everyone else.
- Fitness gear: yoga mats, resistance bands, bottles — the New Year resolution, bought early at a sale price.
The full Christmas list, hampers and bakes included, is in What sells most at Christmas online in India.
Example price points
These are worked examples, not market prices. The point is the shape: a sale price a little under a round number, an original price that makes the gap obvious, and a reason the product is in the sale.
| Product | Sale price | Original price (struck through) | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| TWS earbuds | ₹999 | ₹1,499 | The spec (playback hours) decides it, not the price alone |
| 20W charger + Type-C cable set | ₹499 | ₹699 | Sold as a set so the cart is not a ₹199 order |
| Phone case | ₹299 | ₹449 | Pair with free delivery above ₹499 so people take two |
| 10,000 mAh power bank | ₹899 | ₹1,299 | Under ₹1,000 is the line for a quick decision |
| Hoodie | ₹799 | ₹1,199 | One style, five sizes, three colours |
| Sneakers | ₹1,499 | ₹2,199 | Size chart on the product page or expect returns |
| Skincare set of three | ₹699 | ₹999 | The set is the discount; do not add a coupon on top |
| Fleece blanket | ₹899 | ₹1,399 | Give it its own delivery fee; it is bulky |
| Fairy lights, 10 m | ₹249 | ₹399 | Low ticket; bundle three strings as one product |
| 2027 planner | ₹449 | ₹599 | Sells again in January at full price |
Example figures only. Set your own from your landed cost, not from this table.
Before you copy a number, know what one delivered order leaves you after the product, the box, the courier and the payment charge. Black Friday discount ideas that do not lose money walks through that arithmetic, and the profit margin calculator does it for your figures.
Who buys on Black Friday in India
Three kinds of buyer show up, and each wants a different page from you.
- The waiter. They wanted a specific thing, earbuds, a power bank, a hair dryer, and held off for a price. They buy the moment the price looks right and the spec is on the card. Give them the number they compare, in the first line.
- The self-gifter. Diwali was for the family; this one is for them. Winter wear, skincare, a bag. They browse, so a tidy products page, good photos and a wishlist matter more than the discount.
- The early gifter. They are doing Christmas and Secret Santa in one go, in November, before the December rush. Gift sets, personalised things, anything that arrives looking like a present.
Almost all of them are on a phone, and most will pay by UPI if you make it easy. Cash on delivery is where the fake orders come from in a sale, so read How to get customers to pay online instead of COD before Friday, and run the COD vs prepaid calculator on your own return rate.
How to list it fast
You have three weeks, and a sale store takes an evening. Here is the order to do it in on SitesPlaced; every step is on the free plan.
- Open a free store at /start and pick the template for your group: Electronics Store, Clothing Store, Beauty Store, Home & Decor Store or Gifts & Lifestyle Store. The General Store suits anything. All sixteen are free. The template is fixed once the store exists, so choose before you add products.
- Add each product with the sale price in Price and the old price in Original price; the original shows struck through next to the price. Put the thing the buyer compares in the first product badge: “40H playback”, “100% cotton”, “10,000 mAh”. Up to eight badges per product.
- Make one coupon under Settings → Discounts: BLACKFRIDAY, percent or flat, with Expires set to 30 November (it works through the end of that day), a Minimum order value and a Max discount cap. There is no total-uses cap, so the expiry and the minimum are your limits.
- Set delivery under Settings → Shipping: a Delivery charge and a Free delivery above amount. The cart then shows a bar saying how much more to add for free delivery. Give a blanket or a rack its own Delivery fee for this product.
- Write the announcement bar under Settings → Branding: “Black Friday, 27 to 30 November. Code BLACKFRIDAY at checkout.” It is edited by hand, so change it again on Tuesday.
- Switch on payment. Connect your own Razorpay, PhonePe or Cashfree account for UPI and cards, or tick Pay with UPI / Bank Transfer so the buyer pays you directly; the order-placed screen then shows a UPI QR with the exact amount filled in. Tick cash on delivery if you want it, with an Extra COD charge if you like.
- If you deliver locally, list your pincodes under Settings → Checkout → Delivery area. Checkout refuses any other pincode before payment.
- Publish and tell people. Your store is live at yourname.sitesplaced.site. The messages and the posting plan are in How to run a Black Friday sale on WhatsApp and Instagram.
All of that costs ₹0 with 0% commission. Starter, at ₹199 a month or ₹199 once for 30 days with no autopay, adds your own domain, removes the badge, gives you store analytics so you can see which product moved, and makes your store’s pages answer about 4× faster than on the free plan: about 75 ms instead of about 330 ms, measured on live paid stores on 28 September 2026. “Answer” means how soon the page starts arriving, before the photos load. The code FREE7 gives 7 days free on Starter or Growth when you set up autopay; cancel before the first charge and you pay nothing.
What not to sell on Black Friday
- Anything you cannot ship within the week. A made-to-order product with a three-week lead time belongs in the Christmas sale, not this one. If you must list it, say the dispatch date on the product and in the announcement bar.
- Fragile or heavy things you have never shipped. A sale is the wrong time to learn how a mirror travels.
- A branded gadget a marketplace sells cheaper. You will lose on price and be judged on it. Sell the accessory, the set or your own product instead.
- Products that need a certification you do not hold. Some electronics, including chargers and power banks, fall under the BIS compulsory registration scheme; check bis.gov.in and buy from suppliers who can show their registration. Cosmetics have their own rules under CDSCO. Confirm what applies to you before you list.
- Your whole catalogue at 30% off. It teaches buyers your prices are soft and halves your profit on orders you would have got anyway. One clear deal per group is enough.
Frequently asked questions
When is Black Friday 2026 in India?
Friday 27 November 2026, the day after the US Thanksgiving on Thursday 26 November. Cyber Monday is Monday 30 November. Indian marketplaces and brands run the sale on the same dates, and most small sellers run it as one four-day window from Friday to Monday with a single coupon that expires on the Monday.
What sells the most on Black Friday in India?
In India Black Friday is strongest for electronics and accessories, fashion, beauty and home. For a small store that means earbuds, chargers, cases and power banks; hoodies, winter basics, sneakers and bags; skincare and hair-care sets; blankets, kitchen storage and lights. Because Christmas is four weeks later, gift sets, personalised gifts and 2027 planners sell in the same sale.
Can a small seller compete with Amazon and Flipkart on Black Friday?
Not on the same branded item at the same price, and you should not try. Sell what a marketplace does not: your own product or set, a bundle priced as one item, personalisation, a clear spec on the card, local delivery and a WhatsApp number that answers. Buyers who already follow you on Instagram or WhatsApp will buy from your store if the deal is clear and the checkout works.
Should I run a Black Friday sale or wait for Christmas?
Run both, with different products. Black Friday is for self-purchases and early gifts at a sale price; Christmas week is for late gifts at full price with free gift wrap. If you can only do one, pick Black Friday for electronics, fashion, beauty and home, and Christmas for hampers, bakes and décor.
How much should I discount on Black Friday?
Work out what one delivered order leaves you first, then decide. A 20% discount on a product that leaves you ₹600 per order can take away a third of that or more. Most small sellers do better with a markdown on one or two hero products, a coupon with a minimum order and a cap, free delivery above a value, or a bundle, than with a flat percentage on everything. The discount calculator at /tools/discount-calculator shows your own numbers.
I just ran a Diwali sale. Do I need a Black Friday sale too?
Only if you have something new to say. Black Friday buyers are shopping for themselves, three weeks after gifting season, so the products can be different: winter wear, gadgets, skincare, things for the house. If your catalogue is all gifting, use Black Friday to clear Diwali leftovers in a Clearance category and save the real push for Christmas.
How do I take payment and deliver in time for a four-day sale?
Take UPI and cards through your own Razorpay, PhonePe or Cashfree account, or let the buyer pay the store directly by UPI; on SitesPlaced the order-placed screen then shows a UPI QR with the exact amount filled in. Keep cash on delivery for products you can afford a return on and add an extra COD charge if you like. Book couriers through Shiprocket, Shipmozo or Rehbar Post from the order, and put the last order date in the announcement bar.
List your Black Friday products tonight
A free SitesPlaced store takes UPI, cards, cash on delivery and WhatsApp orders at 0% commission. Pick your products from the list above, add the old price, and you are ready for 27 November.
