SitesPlaced vs eZee — which is better in 2026?

eZee: Long-running hotel software, now sold by Yanolja Cloud Solution (YCS): a booking engine from ₹2,250 a month plus GST, with a channel manager and front-desk system on bigger plans. Here is a plain, row-by-row comparison with SitesPlaced for a homestay, guesthouse or small hotel — price, commission, the booking engine, minimum rooms, channel manager and GST — including what SitesPlaced doesn’t do yet.

By Manan Agrawal, Founder · Updated October 28, 2026

Short answer: for a homestay, guesthouse or small hotel that sells mostly direct, SitesPlaced is the better value. eZee is a complete hotel system, and if most of your nights sell on Booking.com and MakeMyTrip its channel manager earns its fee — SitesPlaced has no automatic OTA sync yet, so you would add those bookings by hand. For a homestay or small hotel with 1–10 rooms, though, eZee’s booking engine alone is listed at ₹2,250 a month before GST, and it plugs into a website you must already have. SitesPlaced gives you the website and the booking engine together for ₹0: dates on a calendar with each night’s price, the total with GST before the button, and bookings you confirm yourself or instantly. For a small stay that wants direct bookings without a monthly software bill, SitesPlaced is the better choice.

What eZee does well — and where it stops

eZee is a real product and these are the things it genuinely does well. Whether they are worth paying for depends on how your bookings actually arrive:

  • ✓A full hotel suite from one company: booking engine, channel manager, front-desk system (PMS — the software for check-ins, rooms and bills) and more.
  • ✓A channel manager on the Supreme and Champion plans, so rooms and rates stay in sync on OTAs (online travel agents such as Booking.com and MakeMyTrip) without retyping.
  • ✓Built for hotels with a reception desk and staff — things a 40-room property genuinely needs.
  • ✓Priced in room bands, so the entry plan is set for a small property of 1–5 rooms.

Which one should you choose?

If most of your guests find you on Google, Instagram, WhatsApp or by word of mouth, SitesPlaced is the answer: a free website with a booking engine and 0% commission. The right-hand column is the short list of cases where you need more than that today.

Choose SitesPlaced if you…

  • • You have 1–10 rooms and ₹2,250 to ₹7,500 a month plus GST is more than your direct bookings justify.
  • • You don’t have a website yet — SitesPlaced gives you the website and the booking engine together, free.
  • • You want guests to see the full price for their stay, GST included, before they press the button.
  • • Most of your bookings come by phone and WhatsApp and you want one calendar where each room-night can only be sold once.

When eZee is the better fit

  • • Most of your nights sell on Booking.com, MakeMyTrip or Agoda and you need a channel manager to sync them automatically — SitesPlaced doesn’t do that yet.
  • • You run a larger hotel whose front desk, booking engine and other systems all need to work as one.

How to start taking direct bookings on SitesPlaced

Nothing goes live until you publish, so you can set up your rooms and prices alongside whatever you use today, then switch your booking link when it looks right.

  1. Start free with the Homestay & Stays template

A big photo first, your rooms with photos, beds and who each sleeps, meals, places nearby, directions with a Google Maps button, a gallery and house rules.

  2. Add rooms and prices

Weekday and weekend prices, seasons and festival dates, minimum nights, closed dates and extra adult or child charges. Switch on GST if you’re registered — 5% per room-night up to ₹7,500, 18% above.

  3. Choose how bookings and payment work

Confirm each booking yourself (rooms held for the hours you set) or confirm instantly. Guests pay at the property, a deposit first, or in full first — you collect it by UPI or bank transfer after confirming.

  4. Add your other bookings, then share the link

Add phone, walk-in, Airbnb or Booking.com bookings by hand so the calendar stays the one true record. Paste your booking link into your Google Business Profile, Instagram bio and WhatsApp.

What each plan includes

One plan ladder for everyone. Taking bookings is free; you pay only when you want your own domain or the growth tools:

  • ✓Free, ₹0: your website on a free sitesplaced address with a small “Made with SitesPlaced” badge, the booking engine, unlimited bookings, 0% commission and the dashboard.
  • ✓Starter, ₹199/month: your own domain (for example yourhomestay.com), the badge removed, visitor analytics, Meta Pixel and AI copy.
  • ✓Growth, ₹499/month: sales boosters, product reviews with Google stars, the loyalty programme and WhatsApp Business API order alerts.

SitesPlaced takes 0% of every booking on every plan. Full detail on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Which is better — eZee or SitesPlaced?

For a homestay or small hotel taking direct bookings, SitesPlaced: the website and booking engine are free, there is 0% commission on every booking, and GST is worked out on the bill for you. eZee is the better pick if you need a channel manager to sync Booking.com and MakeMyTrip automatically, or a full front-desk system for a bigger hotel. For a 1–10 room stay that sells mostly direct, SitesPlaced costs nothing to run and does the job.

How much does eZee cost for a small homestay?

As listed on Techjockey in October 2026, eZee Reservation (the booking engine) starts at ₹2,250 a month before GST for 1–5 rooms. With a channel manager it is ₹5,250, with the front-desk system ₹4,500, and all three ₹7,500, each before GST. eZee’s own site asks for your property type and room count before it quotes. SitesPlaced’s booking engine and website are free; ₹199 a month adds your own domain.

Does SitesPlaced have a channel manager like eZee?

No. SitesPlaced doesn’t sync with Airbnb, Booking.com or MakeMyTrip automatically yet. You add those bookings to the calendar by hand — a tap from the Calendar tab — and each room-night can then only be sold once, so your own website can’t sell a room you already sold elsewhere.

Can guests pay online when they book on SitesPlaced?

Not at the moment of booking. You choose how guests pay — at the property, a deposit first, or in full first — and you collect the deposit or payment by UPI or bank transfer after you confirm. You record each payment on the booking, and it shows on the guest’s bill.

Do I need a website to use eZee?

eZee’s booking engine is sold to plug into your existing hotel website, as listed on Techjockey. SitesPlaced includes the website — the Homestay & Stays template with rooms, photos, meals, nearby places and directions — on the free plan.

Your own booking website, free

Publish your rooms, take bookings on a calendar that shows each night’s price and the total with GST, and run arrivals, check-ins and payments from one dashboard — free, with 0% commission. ₹199 a month adds your own domain.
