The best hotel booking engines in India for 2026 — ranked for homestays and small hotels
Seven booking engines an Indian homestay or small hotel actually shortlists — what they cost, what they take per booking, the smallest property they suit, and whether they sync with Booking.com and MakeMyTrip. Prices as listed in October 2026.
For a homestay or small hotel that mainly wants direct bookings, SitesPlaced ranks first: the website and booking engine are free, with 0% commission, no minimum rooms and GST worked out on every bill. It has no channel manager yet. If most of your nights sell on OTAs, Stayflexi or eZee are the better fit.
TL;DR
- • Best for small stays selling direct: SitesPlaced — free website and booking engine, 0% commission, GST per night worked out for you.
- • Best channel manager at a published price: Stayflexi — from ₹2,500 a month plus GST per property, channel manager included in India.
- • Best full suite from one vendor: eZee (YCS) — booking engine from ₹2,250 a month before GST, all three modules ₹7,500.
- • Watch for: minimum room counts (Djubo starts at 10), sign-up fees (Hotelogix), and booking engines that need a website you don’t have yet.
Four terms, in plain English
- Booking engine: the part of your own website where a guest picks dates, sees the price and books. It is what turns a brochure site into one that takes bookings.
- OTA (online travel agent): Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Agoda, Airbnb — sites that sell your rooms for a commission on every booking.
- Channel manager: software that keeps your rooms and prices in sync across those OTAs, so a night sold on one closes on the others.
- PMS (property management system): the front-desk software for check-ins, room status and bills. Bigger hotels live in it all day.
A small homestay usually needs the first one badly, the third one only if it sells on several OTAs, and a light version of the fourth. That is how we weighed them.

As listed in October 2026: Stayflexi from its own pricing calculator (India); eZee from Techjockey; Djubo from its own pricing page; Hotelogix from its Capterra and SourceForge listings; AxisRooms from its Capterra and GetApp listings; Bookingjini from its own site. Plans change, so confirm before you buy.
How we ranked them
This list is for a 1–10 room property — a homestay in Himachal, a guesthouse in Rishikesh, a small hotel in Goa — that wants more guests to book direct. We weighed what it costs a small property over a year, whether you can see the price without a sales call, and whether you need a website already. A bigger hotel selling mostly on OTAs would rank these differently.
The ranking
SitesPlaced
Best for homestays and small hotels that sell mostly direct
A free website built for stays — the Homestay & Stays template, with room pages, meals, places nearby and directions — with the booking engine built in. Guests pick dates on a calendar that shows each night’s price, choose guests, and see the total with GST before they press the button. You confirm each request yourself or let bookings confirm instantly. Weekend and season prices, minimum nights and closed dates are built in, and each room-night can only be sold once. 0% commission; ₹199 a month adds your own domain.
Watch out: No channel manager yet — Airbnb, Booking.com and MakeMyTrip bookings are added by hand. No online payment at booking either: you collect a deposit or full payment by UPI or bank transfer after confirming.
Stayflexi
Best if you need a channel manager at a price you can see
Stayflexi’s own pricing calculator lists, for India, a Basic plan at ₹2,500 a month per property for up to 20 rooms, with a booking engine, a channel manager and a basic front-desk system included, plus 18% GST and 10% off for paying yearly. Bigger plans (₹3,000 to ₹5,000) add a revenue manager, reputation tools and a restaurant POS. A published price is rare in this market, and it counts.
Watch out: No free plan. For a three-room homestay that gets most guests from Instagram and Google, ₹35,400 a year with GST is a lot of software.
eZee (Yanolja Cloud Solution)
Best for a hotel that wants one long-running vendor for everything
eZee — now sold by Yanolja Cloud Solution, or YCS — has sold hotel software for years. As listed on Techjockey in October 2026, eZee Reservation (the booking engine alone) is ₹2,250 a month before GST for 1–5 rooms; with a channel manager it is ₹5,250, and with the front-desk system as well ₹7,500. A complete system for a hotel with a reception desk.
Watch out: The booking engine plugs into a website you must already have, and eZee’s own site asks for your property type and room count before it quotes.
AxisRooms
Best for buying one module at a time
AxisRooms, from Bengaluru, sells its booking engine, channel manager and other tools as separate modules, so you pay only for what you use. Its Capterra and GetApp listings (October 2026) show the booking engine from about $30 a month and the channel manager from about $50 a month for properties of 1–10 rooms.
Watch out: We couldn’t load a pricing page on its own site in October 2026, so treat the listing figures as a starting point and confirm with them.
Bookingjini
Best for a commission-free booking engine with extras
Bookingjini, from Bhubaneswar, sells a booking engine it advertises with “zero commission fees”, alongside a channel manager, a front-desk system, a website builder and a rate shopper. Its site offers a 7-day free trial.
Watch out: No prices on its site — every route leads to a demo, so you can’t compare cost until you have spoken to sales.
Hotelogix
Best for bigger hotels and groups that want a full cloud front desk
Hotelogix is a cloud front-desk system with a web booking engine, a channel manager and a phone app, Pocket PMS, on both Google Play and the App Store. Its own pricing page shows no prices; listings show from about $3.99 per room per month, with minimum billing (SourceForge lists Premium from $65 a month) and a one-time sign-up fee.
Watch out: Built and priced for hotels with staff. A minimum bill plus a sign-up fee is a lot for a small homestay.
Djubo
Best for hotels of 10 rooms or more
Djubo puts a booking engine (Direct Book) and a channel manager on every plan, and higher plans add a front-desk system, housekeeping, restaurant POS and web check-in. Its pricing page lists four plans, billed quarterly or yearly plus 18% GST.
Watch out: Plans start at 10 rooms, prices aren’t published, the payment gateway and GST e-invoicing are paid add-ons, and the page says subscriptions rise 10% a year. It ranks last here only because this list is for small properties.

What a year costs a 4-room homestay
Take a four-room homestay that sells most nights direct and wants only a booking engine. Using the October 2026 listings:
- • eZee booking engine alone: ₹2,250 × 12 = ₹27,000, plus 18% GST = ₹31,860 a year — and you still need a website.
- • Stayflexi Basic: ₹2,500 × 12 = ₹30,000, plus 18% GST = ₹35,400 a year (₹31,860 if you take the 10% yearly discount).
- • SitesPlaced: ₹0 for the website and booking engine, or ₹199 a month if you want your own domain such as yourhomestay.com.
The paid tools include things SitesPlaced doesn’t — a channel manager above all. If you need one, that money buys something real. If you don’t, it is money a small stay can keep.
The honest caveat: SitesPlaced has no channel manager yet
SitesPlaced doesn’t sync with Airbnb, Booking.com, MakeMyTrip or Goibibo. When a booking comes from one of them — or by phone, WhatsApp or a walk-in — you add it to the calendar by hand, which takes a tap. From then on that room-night can only be sold once, so your own website can never sell it again.
For a stay that gets a handful of OTA bookings a week, that is seconds per booking. For a hotel selling busy weekends on four OTAs at once it isn’t enough, and that hotel should choose Stayflexi, eZee or Djubo. There is also no online payment at booking yet: you collect a deposit or full payment by UPI or bank transfer after confirming. More on this in how to avoid double bookings.
Choose in two minutes
- 1. Where do your bookings come from? Mostly Google, Instagram, WhatsApp and repeat guests → SitesPlaced. Mostly three or more OTAs → a tool with a channel manager.
- 2. Do you have a website? No → SitesPlaced includes one. Yes, and you like it → eZee, AxisRooms or Bookingjini plug into it.
- 3. How many rooms? Under 10 → skip Djubo. Over 30 with a front desk → look hard at Hotelogix, eZee and Djubo.
- 4. What can you spend? Nothing yet → SitesPlaced’s free plan. ₹30,000+ a year → the paid suites are worth a demo.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best hotel booking engine in India for a small homestay?
For a homestay or small hotel that sells mostly direct, SitesPlaced: the website and booking engine are free, with 0% commission, no minimum rooms and GST worked out on every bill. It has no channel manager yet, so OTA bookings are added by hand. If most of your nights sell on Booking.com or MakeMyTrip, Stayflexi or eZee are the better fit.
Which hotel booking engine is free?
SitesPlaced publishes a website with a booking engine on a free plan, with unlimited bookings and 0% commission. Of the others in this list, Stayflexi, eZee, Hotelogix and Djubo list no free plan, Bookingjini offers a 7-day trial, and AxisRooms’ listings mention a free version that you should confirm with them (October 2026).
What is the difference between a booking engine and a channel manager?
A booking engine is the part of your own website where guests choose dates and book. A channel manager is separate software that keeps your rooms, prices and bookings in sync across OTAs (online travel agents such as Booking.com, MakeMyTrip and Agoda), so a room sold on one is closed on the others.
Do I need a channel manager for a homestay?
Not always. If most of your guests book direct, or you list on only one OTA and get a few bookings a week from it, adding those bookings by hand takes seconds and costs nothing. If you sell busy nights on three or four OTAs at once, a channel manager is worth paying for.
Which is better — eZee or SitesPlaced?
For a homestay or small hotel taking direct bookings, SitesPlaced: the website and booking engine are free, with 0% commission and GST worked out per night. eZee is the better pick if you need a channel manager or a full front-desk system for a bigger hotel — its booking engine alone is listed at ₹2,250 a month before GST (Techjockey, October 2026).
Can guests pay online on the SitesPlaced booking engine?
Not at the moment of booking. You choose how guests pay — at the property, a deposit first, or in full first — and collect the deposit or payment by UPI or bank transfer after you confirm. You record each payment against the booking, and it shows on the guest’s bill.
