Why Indian Sellers Are Switching From dm2buy (And What They're Using Instead)
dm2buy got many of us started with a simple catalog link. When order volume grows, sellers hit limits: no order list, no invoices, no Razorpay or Shiprocket. Here's why people switch — and what to look for in the next tool.
Indian sellers switch from dm2buy when they need order management, PDF invoices, Razorpay for online payments, and Shiprocket for shipping — all in one dashboard. dm2buy is a catalog + WhatsApp link; it doesn’t track order status, generate invoices, or integrate payments and couriers. Platforms like SitesPlaced offer that full stack as a free alternative to DM2Buy — free to build and publish at 0% commission — order management, PDF invoices and Razorpay online payments included, with a ₹199/month (Starter) upgrade for a custom domain, badge removal, AI and Shiprocket — so scaling sellers move to avoid spreadsheets and missed orders.
Top reasons sellers look for a dm2buy alternative
- • No order list — Orders stay in WhatsApp; no single view of pending, paid, or shipped.
- • No invoices — Sending UPI and bank details manually every time. No PDF with items and amount.
- • No Razorpay — Can’t accept online payment at checkout; losing customers who prefer Pay Now.
- • No Shiprocket — Copy-pasting addresses into courier portals; no one-click AWB from the order.
- • Scaling pain — Once you hit 20–30 orders a day, manual tracking breaks down.
What to use instead
Pick a platform that gives you: (1) one order dashboard with statuses, (2) PDF invoices with your payment details, (3) Razorpay (or similar) for online payments, (4) Shiprocket (or similar) for shipping. You still get one link in bio and WhatsApp checkout — but with a real operations backend. For a direct comparison, see SitesPlaced vs dm2buy and best dm2buy alternatives.
