Three quotes beats one
Courier pricing is not a solved problem you configure once. Aggregators quote differently by weight band, by destination and by month, and pincode serviceability genuinely varies between them.
With three connected, choosing a courier stops being a habit and becomes a number you read. On thin margins — which is most stores under a lakh a month — that difference is the margin.
And because all three are free on every SitesPlaced plan, there is no reason not to have all three. This is the kind of thing platforms usually charge for, or restrict to one partner they have a deal with.
The simplest credential model of the three
Rehbar Post authenticates with a single Bearer API key issued per merchant. There is no login call, nothing to refresh, and no expiry to track.
Compare that with an aggregator that authenticates with your dashboard email and password and mints a token that expires: that one breaks the day you change your password. A static key does not have that failure mode, and revoking it is a deliberate act rather than an accident.
The key is encrypted before it is stored and never reaches a page your website sends to a browser.
Order and shipment are different things
This is the one structural thing to understand about Rehbar Post, and the integration is built around it.
Creating an order books nothing. It records the shipment-to-be. Booking the shipment is a separate call, and that is what picks the courier and returns the AWB. So an order can sit in a pushed-but-not-booked state, which is a real state you need to see rather than guess at.
The dashboard shows both, because pretending they are one step is how you end up with parcels you think are booked and are not. What Rehbar Post does not need is a separate pickup-scheduling step — booking returns the AWB directly.
Tracking
Like Shipmozo, Rehbar Post documents no inbound webhooks, so shipment status is pulled: a scheduled job syncs active shipments, and there is a manual sync on the order for when you want an answer now.
Stated plainly because it is a real trade-off rather than something to bury: status can lag a webhook-driven courier slightly. Given all three aggregators are free, the sensible move is to use whichever gives you the best rate on the parcel and let the sync handle the rest.
