Import your Judge.me reviews to a new store in about five minutes.

Reviews are the one thing a store cannot rebuild quickly. Products can be re-uploaded in an afternoon; two years of customer reviews cannot. If you collected them with Judge.me on Shopify, WooCommerce or another platform, SitesPlaced imports them through the Judge.me API — dates, star ratings, text, photos and verified status intact — and files each one under the matching product. Here is exactly how, including the parts that trip people up.

What the import does and doesn't do

Reads every product review on your Judge.me account through their API, including unpublished ones. Archived reviews are skipped.
Keeps the original date, rating, title, body, photos and verified status. A 2024 review stays a 2024 review.
Matches each review to a product in your SitesPlaced store by the product's name or URL handle. Anything it cannot match is kept and flagged for you to file by hand.
Mirrors the published state. Reviews Judge.me had published go live on your product pages; ones still waiting arrive as pending; hidden ones arrive as rejected.
Never touches your Judge.me account. It is read-only — nothing is edited, published or deleted on the Judge.me side, and nothing is pushed back.
Re-checks every six hours while it stays connected, adding new reviews only. Your approvals here are never undone by a later sync.

Before you start: add your products first

The import matches reviews to products by name. So the order of operations is: products first, reviews second. If your catalogue is on Shopify, WooCommerce or any website, paste the store URL into the SitesPlaced importer and it rebuilds the products, prices, images and variants. Keep the product names the same as on the old store — "Rose Gold Hoops" on Shopify should be "Rose Gold Hoops" here — and the matching is automatic.

Renamed a few products? No problem; those reviews still import and show up under Needs a product in the Reviews tab, where a dropdown files them in seconds.

Step 1 — copy the token and shop domain from Judge.me

Open Judge.me admin. Log in with the account you used on your old store. A paid Judge.me plan is not required for the API token.
Go to Settings → Integrations → Judge.me API. You will see a Private API token and, next to it, your shop domain (for a Shopify store it looks like example.myshopify.com).
Copy both. The private token, not the public one. The public token cannot read reviews.

Keep the private token private

It can read every review and reviewer email on your account. SitesPlaced stores it encrypted and only ever uses it to read reviews; you can disconnect at any time, and revoking it in Judge.me stops the sync immediately.

Step 2 — connect in SitesPlaced

Open your store dashboard → Settings → Integrations → Judge.me. Paste the shop domain and the private token.
Press Connect & import. SitesPlaced checks the pair against Judge.me (it asks for your review count), saves the token encrypted, and starts importing straight away. A few hundred reviews take under a minute; a very large history continues in the background and on the six-hourly sync.
Open the Reviews tab. Imported reviews carry a small Judge.me label. Check the counts: Live are the ones Judge.me had published; Pending were waiting in Judge.me too.

Step 3 — file the reviews that didn't match

At the top of the Reviews tab a Needs a product count shows how many imported reviews have no product yet. Filter to them, and each one shows the product name Judge.me used ("Judge.me called it *Rose-Gold Hoops 18k*"). Pick the right product from the dropdown on the review and it files itself. A review cannot go live until it has a product, so this is worth doing in one sitting.

Store-level reviews — the ones Judge.me lets buyers leave about the shop rather than a product — also arrive without a product. File them under a bestseller if they describe it, or delete them.

Step 4 — turn reviews on and check a product page

Imported reviews only show on the storefront once product reviews are switched on: Reviews → Turn on reviews. Then open any product that had reviews. You should see the average and count under the title, and the reviews block at the bottom with the histogram, verified badges, photos and your replies from Judge.me.

Running both stores during the switch

Most sellers keep the old store live for a few weeks while the link in their Instagram bio and WhatsApp catalogue moves over. Leave Check Judge.me for new reviews every 6 hours on, and reviews that land on the old store keep arriving here. When you finally close the old store, press Disconnect Judge.me — the reviews already imported stay; only the token is forgotten.

What it costs

Nothing. Product reviews and the Judge.me import are included on the free SitesPlaced plan, with no limit on the number of reviews. Judge.me itself charges whatever your existing plan is; the API token works on their free plan too. FAQs

Do I need a paid Judge.me plan to export reviews?

No. The private API token is available on Judge.me's free plan, and that token is all SitesPlaced needs to read your reviews.

Will my reviews keep their original dates?

Yes. The import stores each review with the date it was written in Judge.me, so a review from 2024 shows as 2024 on the product page and in the structured data.

What happens to review photos?

They import too. The images stay hosted by Judge.me and are shown from there; if you delete your Judge.me account later, those photo links can stop working, so download any you care about first.

Are reviewer email addresses shown on my store?

No. Emails come into the private dashboard only. On the storefront a reviewer appears as a first name and last initial, the same as reviews collected on SitesPlaced.
