Edit your website by chatting — with a free AI builder agent

By SitesPlaced Founder · July 20, 2026

The fastest way to edit your website in 2026 is to tell it what you want changed. Open any site in your SitesPlaced dashboard, tap the glowing orb in the corner, and type — “rewrite my hero headline”, “add a product called Masala Chai for ₹249”. Brix, the free Builder agent, reads your actual site, drafts the exact change, and shows it as a card. You press Applyand it’s live. Included on every account — no paid plan needed.

8 things you can literally type

Brix works on both websites and online stores. These are real prompts from the product, with what actually happens next:

  1. “Rewrite my hero headline to sound more premium.”

Brix reads your current hero first, then proposes a sharper headline that keeps your business details intact — it edits the smallest thing possible instead of regenerating the page.

  2. “Add a product called Masala Chai for ₹249.”

It drafts the product — name, price, a short description, a sensible category — and asks you for a photo link (or tells you it can be added later from Products). It never invents an image.

  3. “Change my announcement bar to announce a weekend sale.”

You get the exact strip text proposed back — “Weekend Sale — 10% off till Sunday” — as an Apply card. Same flow for your about section, policies, footer tagline or navigation.

  4. “Change my theme to something warmer.”

On websites, Brix proposes a new palette — primary, accent, background — as one reviewable change. If you hate it, dismiss the card and your old colours never moved.

  5. “Make my about section shorter and friendlier.”

Copy edits are its bread and butter. It matches your tone rather than replacing it, and proposes concrete text instead of asking you ten questions first.

  6. “Put my site live.”

Publishing (and unpublishing) works from chat too — with a confirmation card, and honest guidance if something on your plan needs upgrading first.

  7. “How do I connect a custom domain?”

How-to questions are answered from real SitesPlaced Help Center articles — you get the steps plus a link to the actual article, not a hallucinated guess.

  8. “Hero headline thoda catchy banao — Diwali sale aa rahi hai.”

Type in Hinglish, get Hinglish back — and a proposed Diwali-ready headline for your store. The agent mirrors whatever language and script you use.

How a chat becomes a change: Proposed change → Apply

Under the hood, Brix always reads before it writes: it fetches your current section, product or settings, makes the smallest safe edit, and preserves every field it isn’t changing. Then — crucially — it doesn’t execute. The edit arrives in your chat as a “Proposed change” card with a plain summary of what it will do.

Press Apply and the change goes live on your site. Dismiss it and nothing ever happened. There is no third option where the AI decides for you — the panel itself reminds you that changes only go live when you press Apply. Conversations are saved per site, so a card you left pending is still there tomorrow.

It speaks your language

There’s no language setting — Brix simply mirrors you. Write in English and it answers in English; write “About section thoda friendly banao” and it answers in Hinglish and drafts the copy accordingly; write in Hindi, Tamil or anything else and it follows. For India’s sellers — many of whom run their whole business over WhatsApp in mixed language — this matters more than any feature list.

Why the best agent is the free one

SitesPlaced’s model has always been that building and publishing are free — you pay only for a custom domain and removing the badge. Builder follows the same logic: editing your own site should not be a premium feature, so the agent that does it is free for everyone, with a fair-use cap of 40 messages a day. The paid plans (from ₹199/month for websites, ₹499/month for stores — see pricing) add the custom domain, branding removal and the three specialist agents: Co-founder, Growth and SEO.

What Brix won’t do — on purpose

  • No deleting, ever. There are no delete tools in the agent at all — products, pages, sections and orders can only be removed by you, in the dashboard.
  • No billing, plan or domain changes. Anything involving money or ownership stays human: Brix explains the steps and links you to the right page instead.
  • No invented assets. It won’t fabricate image URLs, statistics or features — if it doesn’t know, it checks the Help Center or says so.
  • One site at a time. It only acts on the site whose dashboard you opened — it can’t reach across your other sites.

These are limitations we chose, and they’re why you can hand the keys to a chat box in the first place. The wider safety model — and the other three agents — are covered in AI agents for small business and the Co-founder deep dive.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AI builder agent really free?

Yes. Builder (Brix) is included on every SitesPlaced account, including the free plan — same as publishing itself, which is free with a small badge. There's a fair-use limit of 40 messages a day, which is plenty for editing sessions. Paid plans exist for custom domains, branding removal and the other three agents, not for basic editing.

Will it mess up or delete parts of my site?

It can't apply anything on its own: every edit appears as a 'Proposed change' card and only goes live when you press Apply. And it has no delete tools at all — it cannot remove products, pages, sections or orders, even if you ask. The worst case is a proposal you don't like, which you dismiss.

Does it work in Hindi or Hinglish?

Yes — it replies in the language you write in, whether that's English, Hindi, Hinglish or something else entirely. Ask 'mera store publish kaise karu?' and you'll get the answer in the same style, with steps from the Help Center.

Can it answer support questions too?

Yes. For how-do-I questions — domains, payments, publishing, orders — it searches the official SitesPlaced Help Center and answers from the matching articles, linking you to them. If something genuinely isn't possible on SitesPlaced, it says so instead of guessing.

What can't it do?

By design: no deleting anything, no billing or plan changes, no buying domains, and no editing other people's sites — it only works on the site you have open. For those, it points you to the right dashboard page instead.
