Cheapest Portfolio Website
for Freelancers — $7.99/mo
Squarespace charges $16/mo. Wix charges $17/mo. WordPress costs $15–25/mo plus plugins. SitesPlaced gives freelancers a profession-specific portfolio with AI, custom domain, and dedicated support — for $7.99/mo.
SitesPlaced is the cheapest professional portfolio website builder for freelancers in 2026 — you can build and publish for free, with your portfolio live on a yourname.sitesplaced.com URL. You only pay when you want a custom domain or to remove the small SitesPlaced badge — a model few of the best free portfolio builders match. The Starter plan at $7.99/month ($79.90/year) adds your custom domain with SSL, removes the branding, and unlocks AI content generation from your resume or LinkedIn — on top of freelancer-specific portfolio templates, lead capture forms, SEO optimization, and a dedicated onboarding person who helps you set everything up. No other builder offers this combination at this price point.

The math that makes this a no-brainer
SitesPlaced costs $7.99/month. That's $0.26/day.
Your average freelance project: $500–$5,000+
If your portfolio generates just one extra client per year, you've earned a 6x–60x return on a $79.90 investment.
Compare that to:
- Hiring a developer: $2,000–$10,000 (one-time, plus $50–100/month hosting)
- Squarespace: $192/year with generic templates
- Doing nothing: $0 cost, $0 results, infinite lost revenue
