How to make a website with ChatGPT in 5 minutes

The 4 steps

   Connect SitesPlaced to ChatGPT (or Claude)

   In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → enable Developer mode → Create connector → paste https://sitesplaced.com/api/mcp. In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the same URL. You'll be asked to sign in to your SitesPlaced account (free to create) and approve access — OAuth, no API keys. One-time setup, about a minute.

   Describe the website you want

   One message with your business name, what you do, where you are, the tone you want, and the sections you need. Your assistant picks a template, writes the copy and assembles the site in your SitesPlaced account — you'll get a link to see it. Copy-ready prompts are below.

   Review and refine — in plain English

   Open the link, then ask for changes the way you'd brief a designer: 'make the hero shorter', 'swap the services order', 'add a pricing section with three tiers', 'rewrite everything in a friendlier voice'. Each request edits the actual site, not a code snippet — no copy-paste loop.

   Publish — free

   Say 'publish it'. Your site goes live at yourname.sitesplaced.com with hosting and SSL included and a small SitesPlaced badge — free, no trial, no expiry. Want yourname.com and no badge? That's the only paid step, from ₹199/month ($7.99), and you can do it any time later.

What’s actually happening under the hood

SitesPlaced exposes its builder to assistants over MCP (Model Context Protocol). When you say “build me a bakery site”, ChatGPT calls real tools — create_site_from_blueprint to assemble the site, add_product for store items, update_section_content for edits, and set_site_published to go live. Good to know before you start

• Free means free. Building and publishing cost ₹0 — your site lives at yourname.sitesplaced.com with a small badge, no trial and no expiry. A custom domain plus badge removal is the only paid upgrade, from ₹199/month ($7.99) for a website.
• Your assistant can’t overreach. The connector only touches sites owned by your account; billing, custom domains, tracking scripts and customer/order data are not accessible through it, and deleting anything requires explicit confirmation.
• Ask before publishing if you’re unsure.Add “show me the link before publishing” to your prompt and nothing goes live until you say so.
